In 1986, one of the banks in Cleburne, Texas, invited everyone interested in Iris to take part in an Iris Show. That Spring, ten interested people met to organize the Johnson County Iris Society. Then in 1987, the name of the group was changed to the Johnson County Iris and Daylily Society. The club was started with 10 members.

Meetings are held at the United Cooperative Services Community Room in Cleburne on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m.

Our yearly plant sale is held at the Farmer's Market Square on Main Street in Cleburne the 2nd Saturday of September from 9:00 a.m.  - 2:00 p.m.
