The Bertha Ella Cone Award is awarded
annually in recognition of exemplary service and dedication on behalf of
the Houston Hemerocallis Society. Bertha Ella Cone was one of the grand
ladies of the Houston Hemerocallis Society. Tireless in her dedication
to the club, Bertha was instrumental in the growth of the club in the
sixties and seventies. Bertha was president of the club from 1971 to 1974.
